There is a original book based on The Lion King by Disney, it's the TLK storybook. At the end it says that Rafiki holds up Simba's son specifically.
But then again, you're talking about a book.

That doesn't necessarily mean that it was made by the people who created The Lion King.

And the story creators definitely do not have the right to change stuff in their own story as they see fit.
Assuming that book was written before TLKII was out.

how many times. im not being mean but its true its the book universe. Not the film universe
only if disney make a film will Kopa be in the film universe
but heres the big question
if Kopa's in the book universe
wheres mheetu he was suggested as Nalas sister by the film makers and has a book so would he be in the film universe
also it was written before SP in 1994 to 1995

That's exactly what I was thinking. Jiirani, check the date when the book was published; it may have come out before the sequel was made. If that were so, they just assumed it was a male, until the creators of Simba's Pride thought it would be more interesting for a female lead.

Then that proves it...they just considered it as a male before the Simba's Pride creators changed it to female.
