Simba/Mufasa Size Difference

Looking at two scenes from the movie, we can use Rafiki as a reference to the size difference between Simba and Mufasa.

in this scene, Mufasa is seen sitting with Rafiki during a hug.

in this one, Simba is seen sitting with Rafiki by the water.

Since Rafiki standing at full height is still not as tall as Mufasa in the first scene, and he's got to bend over to get to eye-level with Simba in the second scene, I think it can be concluded that Simba is at least a little bit smaller than Mufasa even though Simba is sort of slouching in the second scene. The only question remaining is, why such a difference?

Because Simba isn't a full adult yet =o

Yeah, I always envisioned Mufasa to be larger than Simba. As for the reasoning behind a difference... well, I guess it's not that hard to believe, for me at least. I mean, I'm not the same size as my father, who isn't the same size as his father, etc, etc... I mean, it's not really that far-fetched a notion if you look at it that way, I guess.

considering that with that Simba picture, he isnt a full adult like his father so, he may be smaller then Rafiki ^^ but i suppose he could be smaller the Mufasa but i dont know ^^

@TheWhistlerify and SDC: I thought at that point in the film, Simba was an adult =0

YFWE: true, but amongst lions isn't size difference between related males a lot less common than in humans, where our genes are tons more varied?

Well, as the others have said, he's not quite a full adult yet ^^
And, he's eaten nothing but bugs for a little while now, so he's obviously not gonna be as big as he could be ;)

Size amongst real lions is heavily dependant upon genes, environment and of course, food supply. ^^ Same goes for humans really too, so it's not surprising that Simba is smaller in this aspect. Just gives him more uniqueness since it would be boring if everyone was the same size. :)

I'm gonna go with the argument that he isn't full grown yet. He looked pretty big in the later movie.

Simba was a little bit older than a teen lion at LK.
Maybe thats the reason for his size.
