If you watch the scene where Simba and Kiara exit the gorge, you can see two lionesses approaching and seeming to nuzzle Kovu's side! Also Kovu seems to nuzzle Nala's back!!!!

The idea Kiara wasn't Kovu's first isn't that far-fetched, i mean he was going to be king right? Every king needs a queen! So it would make sense that(even though we weren't shown) Kovu would've been betrothed to some other cubs(probably older than him.)

Hmm intresting, mabey it was just an affectionate greeting or a comfert thing, because akiara would have just watched Zira die, The outlanders, especially Kovu and Vitani, would have just lost their leader/mother, so that's my oppinion, or it may have just been Disney were board when making that scene.

Dude. Kiara's family is nuzzling Kiara, so wouldn't the former outlanders go toward Kovu? They were closer to him anyway. The end scene is all just a big hugfest, nothing more. Everyone's just glad that they're all okay.

I believe it was an affectionate hug, as Amanda said. I mean, wouldn't you be in a huggish mood if everybody was alright? =P

Also, this thread is pretty odd. In theory Simba's first time could have been with Pumbaa for all we know (I hope I don't go too far in saying that. Just trying to make a point.) But the idea is not only ridiculous, and distasteful, but also completely irrelevant in the context of the rest of the movie, and even in the context of the extended fandom aside from a few fringe groups. For those reasons I'm in favor of locking it, and if another mod agrees I think it should be done.

Very true. And I don't think this is the only time in TLK or TLKSP that someone hugged someone else whom they weren't mated to.

maybe that lioness is glad Kovu is okay because she was a childhood frined or a good frined or Zira. Or maybe shes glad hes okay and that he brought the outlanders back to their senses and lead them to peace with the pride landers?

Fair point, but it's Disney, they can do whatever they want and get away with it!
