Cool! I love the idea of Sarafina being strong and skilled in battle.

It's actually a very clever move lol. XD Maybe it was Nala who invented it herself? Simba is obviously physically stronger than Nala, but Nala uses her superior intelligence to overcome her opponent. She's definitely a smarter fighter than Simba is.
We see in the epic battle scene in the end that Simba uses this move too. He catches on fast lol.

I was thinking the same thing, Nala invented that move, and making use of her inteligent skills make her be capable to use the pinning move

Yes, I’ve always thought Nala was more intelligent than Simba. (F.ex, after the IJCWTBK scene she says that it was her idea to lose Zazu by running through herds of animals)

I also think he applies her brains in battle, it definatly pays off to be a little sneaky when fighting..

Personally, I think it’s a strong possibility that Nala invented this move herself, but I still love the idea of Sarafina being the one teaching it to her.

Its interesting that Simba would defeat Scar with a technique that he learned from Nala.

Ahh, the good old Nala Flip. lol. I'd assume it would have been taught to Nala by Sarabi, seeing as she was The Hunting Party Leader. Using your opponents own body weight against them is definitely a sneaky tactic and even lionesses in real life use that technique, although not nearly as gracefully as Nala does of course, but still.
