We can all agree that Simba looks different in Simba's Pride. A lot of people say he looks fat now. I just think they tried to make him look a little older, and a little more bulky like Mufasa was in The Lion King. At the end of TLK, even when they presented "Kiara", Simba looked like a post-teen. In the beginning of Simba's Pride, however, which is supposed to be the same presentation, Simba looks much different and more aged. Perhaps there were two cubs, eh?

Do you guys think this is just bad animation and continuance, or were they trying to make it a different presentation by aging Simba and Nala?

I thought it was a different presentation to the one of TLK's ending..

But I think that he looks different in SP due to them wanting him to look older, afterall the movie does span 10 years (probs more) in which Kiara grows. And he acts different so it probably reflects that.

I didn't really notice much difference though if i'm honest but that's just me and I only watched both once .

Yeah, i think he looks like a fatty in TLKSP... so does Nala... (*hids as all the Nala fans try to kill him*). But yeah moka i agree with you... and i think disney claims it as 1 presentation..but we all know it was 2

He looks a LOT different in TLK ending and DP first scene. Not fat, just... larger? Haha, and the colors suck

Yeah, they did suck in TLKSP... it's like Disney didn't care... maybe one of us should become the CEO of Disney, and make them fix it

It's not only in TLK, some other Disney sequels' colors sucked, but right now I can only remember Lilo & Stitch.

I think it was just simple neglect and them not caring enough to make their characters look like they did in the sequels.

I think they were just trying to make them all look older. Seriously, did you see how big Nala's chin became in the second movie?
The colors really sucked in SP. I think we all agree on that. This was probably one of those mistakes they made with the animation of the second movie.

I think they were trying to make him older but failed. It looks like he ate a baby (his first cub)
