Remind you of Simba?

And there was another one... which I've forgotten.

When Kovu and Kiara bump into eachother, it reminds me of when Simba and Nala went rolling into the Elephant Graveyard.

Both Simba and Kiara got up early in the morning to run off and explore!



They were both practicing pouncing, although Kiara was better, lol. Simba was pouncing on Zazu, Kiara was pouncing on a butterfly.



Kiara reminds me a lot of Adult Nala in this pic, when she’s stalking Pumbaa...

I don’t know if any of these similarities were intentional, or of they were simply coincidental, maybe a mix of both.

In general, there are a lot of these small things that TLK and SP share.

Cubby Simba: "Eww! Gross!"

Cubby Kiara: "Eww! Gross!"

Can't get any more similar than that. Apparently, cubs don't like grubs. Maybe Kiara might have liked them though if she had tried one like Cubby Simba did, although I'm sure there was plenty of better things to eat for Kiara, given her situation compared to Cubby Simba's at the time.

While this isn't a direct reference to TLK, it still uses the exact same thing as the first movie did.

TLK: Cubby Simba tries to pounce on Cubby Nala, yet gets flipped onto his back. Skip ahead to when they are adults and meet for the first time now. Simba tries to pounce on Nala but gets flipped onto his back yet again, thus triggering him to remember who she is.

TLK2SP: Cubby Kiara meets Cubby Kovu and refuses to turn her back on him, thus prompting Cubby Kovu to ask, "What are you doing?". Skip ahead to when they are adults and meet for the first time again. Kiara once more, refuses to turn her back on Kovu, thus prompting him to ask, "What are you doing?" once more, triggering Kiara to remember who Kovu is.

1. In LK2 when Simba is thinking about whether to allow Kovu into the pride after he saves Kirara, he paces back and forth. In LK, after Nala confronts him about returning to the Pridelands Simba goes off by himself and paces the exact same way while thinking about what to do.

2. At the end of the song 'Love Will Find a Way', Kirara pins Kovu and he licks her. During 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' Simba pins Nala and she licks him.
