I've been wondering how Kovu got his scar. Ya can see it in this shot of him, so however he got it, it must have either come down vertically(most likely) or it went up vertically(not too likely).

Now, this scar is on the very border of his left eye like with Scar so, how is his eye itself un-injured? It seems like in a normal situation his eye would have also been hurt, and he would most-likely have lost eye-sight in that eye.

What it looks like is somehow his eye escaped the hit despite how parts of it are directly on the top and bottom edges of his eye. Unless his eye was able to be covered by something, or his eye just "went out of phase" I don't see how his eye is okay.

It's a Disney movie about talking lions. I don't think there's need of logic for most stuff.

This post questions whether you've seen TLK2.

I did see it, I'm just curious about the physics of what happened. The way he was cut means he would have lost that eye, but for some reason he didn't which is just bad physics(even for a disney movie).

Didn't Kovu get scratched by his mother then.....well...for those who haven't seen it, I won't say anymore.

Well...Taka(Scar) got his scar from a water buffalo and didn't lose his eye...so I guess it's the same for Kovu.

Hm I didn't know that about Scar. But I know for sure he didn't get scratched by a Water Buffalo.

Actully he did. I have the lion king book "Tale of two brothers" and it in it saws he was attacked by a water buffalo in his first attempt to kill Mufasa.
