Why were some scenes of TLK 2 and 1 1/2 stupid? Read on!

Now I'm not sueing or anything and I do not mean any meanness, but I have a few things to say....

Now the Balto sequels were directed by Phil Weinstein right? He did an average job but could've done better. I think that some moments were totally pointless.

Lion King 2 and 1 1/2 had these same problems. Example: Timon and Pumbaa all acting like spys. Example 2: Worthless (but catchy, I have to admitt) songs they put in. (LK 1 1/2)

Point: If you look at the credits of SP, you will notice somewhere (I can't remember where) that it says Phil Weinstein! Was he part of the making of SP? Did he put in all the useless humor? Did he make it all worse?

Also, I BELIVE that LK 1 1/2 also had Phil Weinstein in it, but I'm not sure.

What do you think? :eyebrow5:

Yes the Balto series did have problems most of all Stella. :ew: I do find SP more enjoyable than the LK 1 1/2 which I thought was a pointless movie especailly the spy stuff which was just dumb but that is just me.

I have to agree with the Balto stuff, especially Stella. I also agree that SP is more enjoyable. I found it quite pleasant, despite the pointless humor. That's what I think what is wrong with this....the people think that the humor they put is very funny and that the kids will enjoy it. I like LK 1 1/2 but it's just like every other sequel....not as good as the first. XD

first of all I do NOT know why Timon and Pumbaa was ever created...I feel as of them two was a total disgrace but that's me...I'm not being hateful or nothing it's just their pointless anyways it's supposed to be called "The Lion King". it's should be about lions. Not about a sleezy Meercat and a gas bloating Warthog.

Sorry you guys just needed to get it off my chest ;)

I can understand what you mean, but who else would be the comic realif? Yes, Timon and Pumbaa ARE kinda idiotic, but that's what makes them funny lol!!

Yes Timon and Pumbaa were needed for the little 'uns so they would be happy again after the dark part of Mufasa's death.

And Simba needed SOMETHING to make him happy again, just like Ducky and Littlefoot in TLBT (The Land Before Time) if you've ever seen it.

Timon and Pumbaa are just comic relief... But if it wasn’t for them, Simba would have perished in the Desert. :ehh2:

Anyway, I agree with you, I find them annoying and stupid, but I guess I’m way too old to enjoy their kind of humour. They were created in order to create a lighter mood in some of the movies darkest scenes.

btw, Kate, if this Phil guy directed the Balto sequels too, that would certainly explain the insane likeness of Aleu and Kiara.

Lion King II didn't have any useless or excessive humour O.o If anything, it was the most serious and tense of the 3 films in terms of plot!

TLK 1.5 however I can understand completley. That whole movie WAS pointless humour, okay Timon's backstory was interesting but it was overshadowed by the poor parodies of not even remotley funny scenes from the first movie, and those stupid cinema screen segments x.x
