Nuka's Name... Hidden meaning?

Now, if don't already know, Nuka means (smell [bad], stink) in swahili. Nuka's apperance, is oviously as if he's dirty/stinky, but think about this.

The name nuka is spelt so similar to the word "Nuke". You know, as in a bomb. You just have to replace the "a" with an "e".

His appearance though... looks as parents sometimes say for their childrens rooms "looks like a bomb hit him". So... is this supposed to be a hidden Anti-War message, Disney added, to put more irony on the character? Think about it... In the movie there's a big fight at the end between the outlanders and pridelanders... and Nuka was an outlander...

Creepy right?

Just in case you need a recap on what nuka looks like... here's a picture.

Interesting idea, but I think you're over analyzing a tad :P To get even remotely into what you're saying I think Nuka would have had to play a huge role in the final battle, not just be on the same team

Well, one of the reasons the war was ignited between the two, was because of Nuka's death, right?

I'd say that the similarity between those two words from two different languages is just a coincidence.

Similarly, it could be argued that Vitani's name is made up of the Swahili words "vita" and "ni", which mean "war" and "I am" when translated into English, but this is probably just a coincidence too, since "Vitani" was a name made up by the writers to replace her original name, Shetani, meaning "devil" or "demon" (though the word "Vitani" isn't meaningless in Swahili).

I understand what you mean, but I honestly think Nuka’s name is just a referance to his BO. :P

Hahaha. I do have to agree. It's an interesting idea, but I think it's just because Nuka stinks. :ew:

I don't believe Disney meant to name Nuka ''bomb''. I think they didn't even know that Nuke meant ''bomb''. It's most likely that they wanted to give him the meaning ''stink'' or ''smell'', rather than give a name that is similar to another name that means ''bomb''.

this is interesting, but I have to agree with the others, I don't think that Disney had an intention to name him with a name that mean "bomb"

I think so you wouldent name a character in a Kids Film after a weapon of mass destruction.
Well it looks like Nuka was hit with Nuke xD
GASP! :O Be nice to Nuka! :x Lol!

I don't think Disney would dig THAT deep into the meaning of the word Nuka. Remember folks, this is Disney we are talking about. Disney. Lol. They don't like to dig deep and far 8-)
