Don't you find it a bit disturbing that this is a movie for kids and in it Scar kills his brother and tries to kill his nephew? Also at the end of the movie Simba nearly kills his uncle..

The whole point with Disney is Good vs Evil with Good being the winner. Look at Finding Nemo with Nemo's mom dying and all. I think it shows that people moron over their loses, but have to keeping pushing on in life for themselves.

It is a bit disturbing, I have to admit, but that's life. Stuff like that happens to people and kids who watch TLK have to learn that even if horrible things happen to them, they have to move on. That's basically what Disney was trying to show here.

I agree with you in that the emotions that come with Mufasa's dying in the movie (enlarged by the music and expressions) are maybe a bit too heavy for the young ones. But it's part of life, and in real life we will have to deal with heavy events and losses, too.
But it would be cool if Mufasa was just in a coma, and came back at the end of the movie or something

But you have to think of this, Kids dont think of it that way, Kids think of it as a movie they can watch for fun, a movie they love because of the bright colours and such.

No, it doesn't bother me. TLK helped me to deal with my great-grandmother's death when I was little.
