Random thought I know. xD I was just thinking about how much Simba hated Kovu in SP. If they were the same age and met as cubs do you think they would have became friends? Share your thoughts.

Hmm...I have always wondered about that in my imagination at times since I love these two very much. I would probably say so. They were very innocent as cubs and they both had their adventurous/brave personalities. I also bet that they would've challenged on each other when it comes to taking risks on their adventures (i.e. the Elephant Graveyard).

As cubs, they probably would be friends. But I could easily imagine a rivalry between the two, especially once they get older. It would be Mufasa/Scar all over again, but perhaps even bloodier with Kovu's brute strength.

Like Regulus pointed out, I can sense the fact that Simba and Kovu would've ended up as rivals because of family lines and other issues that will be brought up in their later years, but I can still see the cubs as friends because of my reasons in the previous post.

I think they could be friends (kind of like in my sig!). I don't necessarily think they'd become such rivals, but there would be some childish rivalry early on.

They would be friends. Maybe. They'd fit together nicely.
But when they find out the rivalry between their parents, there will be fighting.
And blood.
Someone should write a fan fiction about this, I'd read it, it'd be interesting.

Yes, I can easily see the two of them being friends as cubs. They`re both show-offs, brave.. I can see them daring and challenging each other to do risky stuff (typical boys!) and go on adventures together. I think there would be some competing between them as well, they`d want to see who was the strongest, fastest, etc.. But at the end of the day I think they`d remain good friends.

I might try to write the fan fiction if I have time

They're both cubs who are being "tough guys" so they would be enemies instead as they've found someone their size to fight against from a different pride
