I would have liked to see...

Because TLK has a topic like this, I figured SP could get one too. ;)

So in this thread you post things (scenes, moments, interactions) you would have liked to see in Simba`s Pride.

For me, personally, the top thing I would have loved to see is some actual, direct interaction between mother and daughter, Nala and Kiara.
For example, Nala giving Cub Kiara a bath, or lines added into the existing scenes, such as Kiara actually responding when Nala says. "You`ll do fine," she could say, "Thanks for all your help, Mom, I`ll try to make your proud," or something like that.

What are some things you would have liked to see added in Simba`s Pride? Either extensions of existing scenes or completly new scenes.

Definitely more interaction between Kiara and Nala. I think that's the one thing that bothers me most in this film.

I also really wanted to see more Nala and Kiara, and see their relationship. It would have been really good (not that it's not).

I wanted to see Kovu growing up in the outlands and his relationship with Nuka and Vitani, I think that would've been great! But it would take too long.

I would of liked to see some sort of flashback to when Zira was exiled, we could find out the real reason why then xD

^ These

And maybe some flashbacks where it showed the interaction between Scar, Zira and Kovu.

I'd definitely have loved to see some sort of flashback that explained how and why Zira and the other outsiders were exiled...it's such a big deal in the film and yet, it's never explained properly.

This entire rant remade: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=23692#p707272

I still think that Simba's Pride could have been a much better movie if the central plot was moved away from the Romeo & Juliette based thing and turned into an actual sequel for The Lion King.

Movie named: Simba's Pride
*This might be good*
Song: He Lives in You
*Ooh, a story about Simba and Mufasa?*
1 hour of Kovu and Kiara
*WTF happened to Mufasa!?!*

Maybe the movie would've been a lot better if Kovu and Kiara was a sidestory, and Mufasa and Simba was the main one.

For some reason, I feel this thread is similar to this one: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=23747

Anyway, I would have liked to see...

1. A detailed backstory of Zira and the Outsiders

2. Kovu's conversion to good written more realistically. In the movie, he changed to the good side way too quickly. Realistically, it would take a few days to a couple of weeks for someone to change one view's of another world when all their life he's seen it as wrong, and struggle with their identity.

3. Kovu try to help Simba save Kiara. In the movie, Kovu says to his mother, "I will never let you hurt Kiara, nor Simba. Not while I'm here." But, when Zira tackles Kiara and rolld down the gorge, Kovu does nothing to back up his words, and lets Simba do all the work. Also, I would have mirrored the sequence to Simba's nightmare. In the nightmare, Simba tries to save Mufasa from death on the gorge while Kovu/Scar grabs his paw preventing him from doing so. In the sequence, Simba tries to save Kiara from death, but let's say Simba's paw slips, but Kovu grabs it saying "Trust me!" Then, it all ends with Simba's paw securing Kiara's paw saving her (similar to the brief scene of Simba's paw trying to reach for Mufasa's) after Zira dies.

5. Simba's story of struggling to live up to his father's legacy connect with the romance story between Kovu and Kiara a subplot so we have an equal balance of the new and original characters

6. Nala play an important role in the movie.

7. The original character's design and personalities not tampered with

8. the "Upendi" scene removed, and replaced with a less cheesier, campier handling of Kovu and Kiara's love story starting to take fold

9. Zira's suicide and Nuka's deleted extended dying scene returned back into the original film
