This is my favorite movie of all time, I mean don't get me wrong I love the whole Lion King series but if I had to choose a favorite it would DEFINITELY be Simba's Pride.

I watched it all the time when I was little. Still to this day I watch it to, all the time.

Just out of curiosity, why do you like Simba's Pride more than the original?

Personally, Simba's Pride is my least favourite of the whole trilogy. There wouldn't be a TLK2 without the original, also. However, I also respect your opinion and would be interested in seeing how you respond to Regulus

Welcome to My Lion King Forum, LISA!
First, I love The Lion King trilogy as well, although it's not a great trilogy like The Lord of the Rings trilogy (from what I've heard), The Dark Knight trilogy, and Star Wars original trilogy because the sequels have inconsistencies with the first movie, and aren't as good as the original film. Although Simba's Pride isn't better than the first movie, I find it much better than The Lion King 1½ because it dramatically respects the first movie, and I appreciate the songs, dark, dramatic storyline, and characters like I do with the first movie.
The only thing I find 1½ did better in Simba's Pride was the animation quality and character design. It felt and looked so much like the original film, while in Simba's Pride, I find the animation lacking, and the animators and color artists messed up by giving Nala sky blue-colored eyes (they were green-like/turquoise in the first movie), gave Simba a purple nose and tried too hard to make him look like Mufasa, and Timon's fur looks darker than it does in the original. Not to mention, they changed Simba and Nala's personalities in coherence with the Romeo and Juliet adapted script. Finally, another take off from Simba's Pride was that the ending was predictable because Romeo and Juliet has been retold so many times.
To sum it up, Simba's Pride is a decent Disney sequel, and one of the best from their direct-to-video series, although it's flawed in plot and character consistencies, familiar storyline, and in the animation department.
