How could Shenzi, Banzai, or Ed not have seen Him?

I thought I point this out even if the film's staff intended to make this part of the movie like it is. But,

I think it's bizarre that the hyenas didn't chase after or even notice Timon was right in front of them; when they were running into his colony to chase the other meerkats:

As you can see from the capture image above, the view from Banzai's eyes makes it pretty clear on what I'm saying. And they could've easily ran over Timon in that scene too :holycrap: !

There's a giant colony of meerkats in front of them. I think they saw him but didn't think he was worth their time considering he's just one meerket and like I said, there's a whole colony of them. Why not go after the bigger game, especially if there is three hyenas? One meerket can't feed all of them.

Agree mostly with DatLioness.

But I would also add that it was possible that "blinded" by a colony they truly didn't see him. You know when you are focused just on one thing, and don't see the one right before your eyes.

Well, Timon was the first meerkat they saw (and spied on if I might add, while he was singing "That's All I Need"), when they came to the colony. Maybe he crouched down enough when they were running into the colony, that he camouflaged with the ground so that he wasn't really noticeable. That could also be the reason why he gave a sigh of relief after they passed by him. But that's why I'd never deny his knowledge.

Also, now that I'm thinking about it, after reading what you both said, Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed probably got too excited to realize Timon was just standing right there. And so I assume this is what the staff may have wanted us to see from this scene. But I still see that he was very visible right in front of them, either way.
