Now don't get me wrong I don't think a remake is a good idea nor do I want to see it happen-this is just for fun!

Anyway here's my picks:

Adult Simba-Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Adult Nala-Mae Whitman
Scar-Jason Isaacs or Ralph Fiennes
Mufasa-Michael Dorn, Keith David, or Dennis Haysbert (for some reason I thought he was Forrest Whitaker which is why I put him there)
Timon-Adam Sandler (I know this sounds like a weird choice at first but if he uses his normal voice and doesn't go into an annoying voice (which is what he usually does for voice acting) it might work because I can see his normal voice fitting a little egotistical fast talking animal but only if he talks a little faster)
Zazu-Simon Pegg or Ricky Gervais
Sarabi-Moira Kelly (Why not have one of the original cast members play a new character?)

It's kind of hard to think of a new cast in any remake of TLK because the voices are so perfect for the characters.

Cub Simba - Can't think of an actor right now!
Adult Simba - Patrick Dempsey
Cub Nala - Joey King
Adult Nala - Zooey Deschanel
Mufasa - Kevin Michael Richardson / Dennis Haybert
Scar - Ian McKellen / Ian McShane / Gary Oldman
Sarabi - Angela Bassett
Sarafina - Zoe Leader
Timon - Kevin Schon or James Arnold Taylor. Both do a good Nathan Lane impression.
Pumbaa - NO IDEA!
Zazu - Eric Idle ^Simon Pegg or Ricky Gervais are good choices, too.
Rafiki - NO IDEA!
Shenzi - Jenifer Lewis
Banzai - Tommy Chong
Ed - Frank Welker

I like them, and Dennis Haybert would be a very good voice for Mufasa, which I added him to my list! However, I do wonder who would you cast for Rafiki, the hyenas, Pumbaa, and Sarafina.

Also I don't know who I'd cast in those roles. Maybe Carlos Mencia for Banzai and the butler from Fresh Prince for Rafiki? I don't know...

None really, I think they are fine as they are.
