My Lion King Forum

The title of these movies is...without doubt "The Lion King". So who do you think the creators wanted us to believe was "The Lion King". Is it Mufasa? Simba? Are they just referring to the title "Lion King"?

Personally I think they're referring to Simba when they title the movie "The Lion King". He's the main character and the movie follows him through cubhood and into adulthood.

But what do you think?

Simba, definitely. Mufasa was a great king, but the story was mostly about Simba. Besides, the other two movies had "The Lion King" in their titles and both had a lot of Simba in them.

I think Simba too, cause... its sad but Mufasa is the Past.

I think it would most likely be Simba. ^^ Since it focuses around him the whole movie.

I have to agree that it's Simba Mostly because he has flaws and problems, unlike good 'ol muffy (though he dies... I guess that's a problem ;P) So it makes his triumph all the more moving and significant at the end.

Yeah, apparently Simba lives forever because Disney never says that he dies.. lol

I voted for Mufasa because I like him better. But I do think that the title "The Lion King" refers to Simba. Mufasa even says it himself... (in the Norwegian version he says "you are my son, you are the lion king.")
