Anyway, this is not about how the hole was switching sides, but rather how Zira got it in the first place. Ever since I first saw the film, I have found myself thinking of possible ways she could have gotten it. What do you think?

Hmmm......good one. Maybe she got stepped on by some hoofed animal and that punched a hole in her ear...? Because Wildebeest have pretty sharp hooves you know..

That sounds good. I've also heard that it could have been from a fight.

Well usually a fight has scratches and scars, not perfectly round holes. I'm pretty sure she got stepped on by something, but that's my opinion, I don't know what other people think.

True. Here are two other ideas I've read or seen in fanart and fanfiction:

. An abusive father who cut it into her ear with his claws when she was a cub

. Timon biting a chunk out while trying to defend Kopa

The first one is pretty likely, but I don't know about the second, lol, it's kinda funny. I can just see Timon on Zira's back trying to bite her lol.

I kinda lean more towards the first one. It does seem kinda likely, and it would give a reason why she started to become the way she is.

yeah, maybe i lean towards that one too, but i wonder if her father was every mentioned in any of the TLK books, because i've never read them.

Nope, not that I know of. I guess that part of the TLK universe will just have to be explained by various fan theories.
