While laying in bed just last night I came to the realization of something, that I'm almost positive not many hadn't noticed before in the film. Anyone notice that Simba's day starts out at dawn from being with his father to ending at dusk soon followed by night with his father. Here let me break it down for you.

Okay, so Simba wakes his father up at dawn to show him the kingdom. Minutes after the sun had just risen, Mufasa and Simba then moved into the Pride Lands where Mufasa had to hurry and take care of the hyena's. Now hours may have been in between this, but Simba's visit to his uncle was most likely right after he arrived back at Pride Rock from being with his father for 10 mins at the most. This then shifts to Simba getting Nala, arriving at the graveyard, and being rescued by Mufasa. After Mufasa states: "Let's go home!" the scene shifts to the group walking home, but with the evening now present. Following their talk and play time, evening then turns to night as Mufasa tells Simba of the kings of the past.

I ask you, how is this possible?! You're telling me that within the time frame of Simba waking up at dawn to being with his father under the stars at night which logically was around 2-4 hours at the most (given there was hours difference with Simba's visit to Scar) counts as a whole day? I don't think so lol. I'm curious to know of anyone who has caught this as well? I mean what gives?

Yeah, I mean they're not going to catalog Simba's entire day. They intentionally left gaps in that day, like all movies do. Otherwise, it would be a documentary or a police surveillance video.

There are plenty of explanations for it and all the missing time.

1. Simba and Mufasa have to walk down priderock walk that distance away from it (maybe there was more we didnt see)
2. Simba has to walk back and find Scar
3. Simba needs to go to a different area of PR
4. Simba, Nala and Zazu walking to the waterhole (i assume its a at least a fair distance if the cubs got an escort)
5. How far Simba and Nala ran after CWTBK
6. Mufasa leading everyone OUT the graveyard (a fair distance in by this point remember)
7. They are already half way home walking back

A fairly good chunk of time there I think you will find especially the Simba/Mufasa priderock part. Remember its huge and on screen at that point it dont look it, they are near the river and if you watch the end of the movie that a LONG way away

I had notice this "Time flying" and it always think that is obvious that in a movie like this they didn't wanted to make it much longer, just like Moka said, if that happen it wouldn't be a movie but rather a documentary

Hey! Some of us have the right to disagree with you. I, and other people, take that "sorry for thinking like a true Lion King fan..." offencively. Yes, its an interesting note, but time flying is your personal opinion. Please, watch what you say because once its on the internet, you can't take it back.

You all should take that advice as well. ^_^ I understand we all have our personal opinions, and not all will agree with mine which is fine, however ever single comment I got for this boiled down to "It's just a film, it doesn't matter either way!" which I understand, but I found it "offencive" that everyone was basicly bashing me for evening mentioning it.
