What happened to Pumbaa's family?

Okay, this has been bothering me all day.
When Pumbaa told Timon he had no home, and said he wasn't lost, it made me wonder what had happened to Pumbaa's family. Did they ditch him? Were they killed? Were they seperated somehow?
Thoughts?

Considering everyone else seemed to ditch him because of his stink, I would presume his family would have too. If they smelt as bad as him and it didn't bother them, they probably got eaten. Just a thought.

^ that
Also, Timon's words to Simba right before Hakuna Matata are a dead giveaway,
"You're an outcast! Great, so are we."To be honest I'm not especially interested in finding out what happened to his family, in case Disney decides it would be a good idea to make another spin-off featuring Pumbaa's story this time

*shudders*

Well, I think Pumbaa seems old enough to take care of himself. I hate the idea of his family abandoning him/throwing him out. I think he simply left his family when he reached young adulthood. (to find a mate or get his own territory) I`m sure he`s not the only warthog with a farting problem. It probably didn`t bother his family. They are pigs, after all.

you know, I never had think on this question, but I never had wonder what happen to Pumbaa's family, if Pumbaa is a outcast, then there's no reason to wonder that on my opinion

I have no idea what could have happened to Pumbaa's family. Maybe I ate them o.o

Maybe they ditched him? Opposed to throwing him out?
Like in Ace Age, when Sid's family migrate without him. Perhaps he over slept and they went off to do...something and never came back. I also like the idea that he just left home because he's old enough and the outcast thing is because of his smell, he couldn't make friends or find a mate?

Timon says that they are both outcasts, Timon could not make friends because well he was a clutz and Pumbaa had a nasty stench so had the same problem. As for what happened to his family, well he did say that he was ashamed so chances are he perhaps thought he was an embarrassment to his family; either that or they demanded he left them.

I'm a Pumbaa fan so maybe I'm a bit biased but ditching him seems awful harsh, especially as PrincessKiara points out they are all pigs. I had a thought that he's pretty absent-minded so one day he goes off on his own chasing a bug or something, just like in the movie when he first meets Nala. He gets lost, his family don't notice he's gone, something along those lines.
As far as saying "You're an outcast! Great, so are we." well I wouldn't put it past Timon to put that idea in his head. timon's off on his own, he's an outcast, Pumbaa's in the same situation being on his own maybe he just figures that makes him an outcast too.
