				I noticed that when Zira scratched Kovu and gave him his scar, it immediately turned to a pink streak on either side of his eye and remained so through the end of the movie. Am I to assume, then, that Kovu does not bleed?

				You know, that's exactly what i thought.
When any animal is cut, the wound has been opened and many small creatures that we cannot see try and get into out systems throught said cut. BLood helps to keep them out. The scar that Kovu had was as if he had been wounded and then healed, so the people that animated the movie screwed it up :S

				Kovu is like Jesus, he doesn't have to bleed
not to mention it's a Disney movie and i know Disney has shown blood before but, i guess that they didn't find it necessary

				Nope. You're to assume that Disney did not want little children to see blood this time. Even in the first TLK, even though cub Simba gave Shenzi bloody gashes on her cheek in the Elephant Graveyard, during Simba and Scar's fight there is a complete lack of blood when there ought to be a fair amount of it if they wanted to be realistic and not shield children's eyes from bloodiness..

				It`s not very realistic to not make Kovu bleed. (But of course, this is a Disney movie.)
There would not be a pink/white scar there straight away. The wound would have to close and heal first.
Of course in the movie it gives a better/more dramatic effect to have the scar appear straight away when Zira slashes Kovu.
So yes, it`s correct to assume that Kovu does not bleed.

				Yep, I am going to chalk this one up to design choice, I do not count this as a genuine flaw at all.

				Te movie should be able for kids to watch to. It's not the meaning children will become scared for the blood or something.. I think that's why.

				Kids should see Watership Down if they want to develop a fear of blood xD
Disney were being a bit stupid if they didn't add the blood, because you could just rate it PG, I mean a bit of blood wont hurt anyone xD
But Jungle Emperor (Kimba) is more realistic than TLK, because Kimba's dad gets shot twice ^^;

				I can't understand how he got a vertical scar.
