You know Ziras scar? The "hole" in one of her ears?

And remember how Zazu and Simba talked about the Outsiders/Outlanders in the opening scene on Pride Rock? "You can`t turn your back on them," "Backstabbing, murderous Outsiders."

I have a little theory, based on the movies only. Let`s ignore Kopa for a second.

We all know Zira and some other lionesses were loyal to Scar, and they thought he was the true king. Simba banished these lionesses when he claimed the throne.

What if.. Zira had tried to kill Simba? Perhaps Nala was the one who gave Zira her scar, when trying to defend her mate? It would certainly explain the rage/contempt between the two lionesses when they met in the Outlands..

What do you think? Could it be possible?

That's an interesting theory! It WOULD explain quite a lot....

The hole in her ear has been bugging me for some time, it simply doesn't have an explanation....

I think it's just to give her the villain look, just like Scar.

That's a cool theory, honestly. I liked Akril's theory in SP: The Road Less Travelled, where Zira got her ear torn by the hyenas when she fought them off of Scar down below Pride Rock.

Simba's comment could be due to the Outlanders, Scar's supporters, getting into fights with the Pridelanders, and maybe causing some serious physical fights that led Simba to believe that the Outlanders would do anything to get on top.
