Lion King 2 is definately one of Disney's better sequels; the animation is nice, actors have returned (Most), and the plot is very thought out. I'd rate Lion King 2 either a four or five out of five stars. ^_^

It introduces some great new characters like Kovu with his growing-up story and basically Kiara too with the way she offers new blood to the line of royal kids with her personlity and attitudes and no keen eye on the throne... even though she's also annoying because of that. But nothing can be flawless. The plot is weaker than the first film's but still great. The animation is somewhat scrabby but is ok enough and could be a lot worse. I don't see any reason to downright hate the film though I do understand why some people might dislike it.
It's nowhere near the greatness, beauty, depth and majesty of the first film which I love to bits. Still, in my opinion SP is worth its place as an official sequel, but I do respect the fact that some like to deny it in their minds. (: It's like I like to deny the movie Scream 3, it doesn't exist to me even though it's basic idea was written by the same script writer as the original film which I love to bits.
