This has always been something that I dont understand- Just before Upendi, Nala says to Simba
"You want so much to walk the path that is before you, perhaps Kovu does not"
And then continues on to say
"Get to know him and see"
The main thing I dont get is the "perhaps Kovu does not" because she says it in an almost cryptive way.
What do you think she was saying?

To tell the truth, I'm as stumped as you are. I never knew what those words meant but they sound very 'wise' to others; so perhaps that's what they were looking for in this scene.
Could just be another unexplained thing they put in there to make Nala seem so wonderful, lol. (Not that she isn't; she is wonderful)

She actually said: ''You want so much to walk the path expected of you''.
With that she meant that Kovu probably doesn't want himself being judged for that he is an Outlander, thus something that Simba wouldn't normally do,as he exiled them.
It's actually a quite interesting thing, cause Kovu is not walking the path expected of him neither,by counteracting what his old pride talked him into.

It would seem to me, and shoot me if I'm wrong, but it would seems that Nala does not in the least bit believe that Kovu is what Zira presents him as. She is thus suggesting that Simba get to know Kovu and see for himself that his wary view on Kovu is wrong. Kovu does not wish to be the heir of Scar. This is what Nala is saying and what she wants Simba to see

Your'e always so right Rouge!
What did you think she meant by when she said "I can see them down there just as easily as you can"?
Quite frankly, I have no idea what Nala meant in that whole scene
