Okay, so you guys know the "In Upendi" scene, right? Of course you do. So this little part has been bothering me. Why? Because it's confusing! It's night, then it's sunset, then it's night all over again! What gives! I have some proof for ya, too.

And yes, I know for a fact that it's SunSET not SunRISE. They said "Good Night" not "Good Morning" so it's not Sunrise. Wanna help me out on this little confusion?

At least in that scene with Zira, you can see a tiny bit of the sunset left but yeah. Looks like some inconsistency there. =p

Your third pic is a little off... it's not night again, it's just the angle of the pic that only captures the "dark" upper part of the sunrise. That being said, I think it's most likely sunrise and not sunset even though as you mentioned both Kiara and Kovu say "good night" instead of "good morning". People usually say good night when they're about to head off to bed, despite what time it is, so maybe that's why they said that. Idk, that's just my guess The second pic occurs directly after the Upendi scene so that's when things get a little screwed up lol.

its's just a disney mistake but can you really see the Upendi scene being done at night it wouldent look right.

The night scene prior to the Upendi song is unecesary and throws off the run of the movie. This is obviously the cause of the mess up. It is a mistake, nothing more.

I think camera angle is to blame. Of course the Upendi scene will be light - everything changes and it's a music video just for fun, not made to imply a change of time. And the apparent inconsistencies between night and sunset, I think, are just angle. Ever noticed how sometimes you can look East, and see total night complete with stars, then West and see a sunset? In Africa, I'd expect to be able to see far enough for such a thing to happen. Even happens where I live, with a bunch of trees around. So I don't think this is a screw-up.
