Privacy for The Den

I noticed that the Den is visible publicly. I would like to request/suggest that the Den be made visible only to members of MLK, since it really only contains a lot of off-topicness, includng the
Member Photo Album. I don't think I want my photo there, simply because it's public. Sure, anyone can join and then look, but they don't know it's there until they join, plus it just adds a little more peace of mind for those who post their photos there.

It's a member's choice whether to post their pics online though and hiding the board really doesn't help much. If you don't want complete strangers looking at you, don't post your pic. Simple as that. ^^

I think Moka created the den for public viewing to give guests an idea of what to expect from MLK. Finding a forum that's open and welcoming to guests, that they can look over and start to feel at home in, is very important for many new members, including myself before I registered an account on TLKPF a little over a year ago. There are also the "lurkers" that may feel uncomfortable registering or "admitting" their love for TLK, but that feel comforted knowing that there are people like them out there. For those people I'd leave the Den public. As for posting pictures, that's something each member can choose to do or not do, but posting pictures on the internet, no matter where, always carries some risk, and in my own opinion at least, that risk is not affected by whether or not the Den is visible to unregistered guests.

The more is visible, the more new members can see what's posted there and might join. Unseen makes unloved (in my case)
