I've noticed we're only allowed up to 350 private messages to be kept in our inbox/outbox etc. until old ones will be deleted, or new ones held back - whichever we've chosen. Any chance we could be allowed more space for pm's?

I'm a bit hesitant since I've already increased it from 50 to 350, which is more space than most forums give for private messages.
I dunno, I'll have to think about it.

To be honest, I don't think we need such a change. If you want to save some of your messages, you can just save them in a Word document. That's just my opinion though.

What I still don't understand is why there is a limit at all is there some sort of space restriction on MLK's hosting that would cause such a limit to be necessary?

Sort of. Eventually they'll have me buy more space. I'd rather save room for public posts that everyone can read than private messages that will probably never be read again.

Ahhhhh ok.

You know you can just create a new folder to store some of your older PMs? That's what I do. ^^ I have like 3 folders now chock full of old pms arranged in chronological order. So I basically have access to all the pms I ever sent/recieved starting from June 2008.
Each folder stores 350 pms so it's a great storing device. B)

Well I do that as well, but there is also a limit on the number of folders you can have. (5). So eventually you'll have to do something with them.

Well I think it'll be a while till I ever get that many pms lol. Every 6 months I get an average of 350 pms, so around this time next year is when I'll have to start deleting them.

yea, It's sometimes a hassle to delete old PMs, but Moka's right that they'll probably never be read again anyway. As much as I'd like more space, it's just laziness that makes it necessary, and we can always delete some of the less important ones.
