I have a similar question too:

Is it possible to be banned for a certain period of time (like a few days/weeks) and then come back to MLK?

In general, deleting a member completely erases the account, and all the posts won't show their avatar or anything, it'll look like a guest posted them. Being banned, their profile and account exist, but they can't view the board or do anything, they have been banned.

Yeah I know but I was wondering when each is used. I mean, how does Moka decide whether to ban a member or delete them, and what difference does it make?
Sorry if that makes no sense... :?

While I can't speak for Moka, I believe that he never deletes anyone's account. If there are multiple accounts by the same user, I think he just deactivates them and leaves the account that has the highest post count or something to that degree. As for being banned, I also believe that a ban can be lifted at any point if the situation deems that suitable. Again though, this is just my thoughts and you'll have to wait for Moka to give the actual run down on this topic. ^^

A suspension is temporary, and will wear off after a pre-determined time. Bans are usually permanent, but like all rules, there can be exceptions if the situation calls for it. Deactivating and deleting an account is the same thing, for all intents and purposes. If I left anything out, other mods feel free to correct me =)
