Ok, so i was looking over a story i was going to post, and i just am not too clear on what words are allowed and what words aren't on MLK, so i ask you this... what if there was a list that contained said words...
it obviously wouldn't post the curse words and most offensive words but just the iffy in the middle ones like Pri-- not going to say the rest but i just thought it might help people clear it up...

I'm going to explain my personal "screening method" for what I think is inappropriate. Other mods can contribute things I might miss =)

Use low to low-mid words like "darn" and "damn" when necessary, sparingly. If you use anything stronger it should be made in a place where it contributes something meaningful to the story. Basically, if you use this grey-zone, you'd better have a damned fine reason to do so

thanks mike appreciate the advice, i'm trying to keep my stories clean enough to post here (not that there really all that dirty) but i do occasionally drop the F bomb and stuff like that so i'm going to try to edit them out all together , just expand my vocabulary anyway...

Keep it PG 13: seems to be the rule, although that's still not all that clear but yeah, like Mike said, as long as words are used sparingly and not just for shock value and the language filter doesn't censor it to begin with, you should be okay. Still, use common sense when deciding which words to post.

And if you're still worried about it, you can always PM a moderator with the story and have them review it.
