Is there a way to silence threads?

Hi! Welcome to the Feedback forum.
Before reading anything or asking anything; please check out the FAQs. Your question might be in there. However if you want a better understanding after reading the FAQs, like if it didn't explain it good enough, then by all means ask your question.

Please read the following before posting in this forum...

In this forum you will see an Announcement, and several "sticky" topics. The announcement is the Universal Board Rules. If you are new, read this before doing anything else! The sticky topics will stay above and separated from normal user-made topics in the forum. This is because they outline important information about the board. If you see a sticky topic concerning your issue, please reply with your question or concern in the correct topic. Moderators will see your reply within these topics. Before asking your question, be sure to read the topic and its first page especially. It contains information about your issue that is valuable and may even answer your questions. If the topic does not answer your question, ask your question within the topic, not the forum. If no sticky topic concerns your issue, then you are welcome to ask your own questions by creating a new topic within the forum.

Thank you for keeping the Board Help forum organized!

Is there a way to silence threads?

Postby moonsugar33 » August 12th, 2016, 9:47 am

Hi team!

I'm really, really not interested in all the general threads in The Den with hundreds and hundreds of pages. Unfortunately, whenever I click on "Show unread posts", they always turn up in the search results. I like The Den's subforums, so I wouldn't want to block out that section entirely, but is there a way to mute individual threads within so they don't show as new posts?

Thank you!

Don't think so but what I do is have it set to display new posts from the past week in descending order instead of ascending order. This means for me threads that have received posts within the past week are displayed and the most recent ones are at the bottom with the ones posted in earlier in the last seven days at the top. Naturally that means threads like what are you thinking, eating, doing, wearing, what time did you wake up please post every little detail of your day on a Lion King forum... Yeah those. They're all at the bottom.

And you can do that by going into user control panel then board preferences and edit display options.
