I was thinking when I was in the chat a few mintutes ago, when I was in a mad mood, I wanted ML101 to leave me alone, then he said, this is a public chatbox, not yours. Then, I got an idea, for members who have dens, can have their own chatboxs.

So, it be like the chatbox on here, only in dens though. And the meber with the den gets to let specific people in it, if they have a password which I think should be included when wanting to enter it. And if anyone caused stuff in the chatroom of the member, they can ban them from that chat.

What do you think?

Nice idea LT, but it's a little impractical. For one thing, it would be very difficult for the staff to moderate the discussions that go on in each chatbox, and it would kill the purpose of the original chatbox. It also might be a little difficult for Moka to set up. However, this is just my opinion. If Moka decides to go ahead with your idea, it's fine by me!

Oops, I forgot to meantion, the member moditors the chatbox, they are kinda like the admin for a chatbox.

amanda is right and besides if your wanting to stop people from comign in your chatroom that means every one has to have its own separate mod tool. moka has issues setting mod tools on the man chatroom never mind smaller ones, and there isnt the mod staff to watch everything. its just not practical to set up or maintain. and giving every member admin power in their chatroom its more work and more chaos.

Yeah, but do you really trust us sinister members with that kind of responsibility? *bwahaha*

This can easily be done with any IM client.

that would be difficult coding for Moka. if it the [dohtml] tag works in this site, I'd recommend just using it to paste in your own chatbox in a thread in your den that way you'd be able to access the controls on it via the site you got the chatbox from. then all you'd have to do is ask the mods to lock the thread so no one could post, but they could still use the chatbox.

true....although some of us aren't allowed to talk to people we don't know in real life on IMs. so we can't IM members on here.

There's no HTML allowed in phpBB3 for security reasons.

security reasons? hmmm....I don't get it but I guess that's just how it is. I just knew with some forums that did posts in BBcode that you could use the [dohtml] tag to allow some HTML in posts.

I wonder if the people who made phpBB realized you can just use the web inspector in Safari to look at the coding that goes into a website lol.
