Excuse me you all, I had just noticed how everybody had their usernames in certain colors and recently read about it and that it's all abut groups and stuff, so the question is, how do I join one?

User control panel -> Usergroups. Select the one which applies the most for you (or several) and click on "join selected". The one you applied most recently will be your color, but you can change it in the "change default group" option.
