Usergroup of the month
And how it would work is, people could submit to the contest either, a piece of fan art (Fan Artists), fan fiction (FanFic Writers), any graphics (Graphic designers), AMVs and vice versa (still trying to think if ways to get possibly wiki editors and RPers involved, maybe have links to their thread / page) .
But basically each month or so, all the entries to the contest from across all usergroups would be displayed on the OP of the thread. And then based on overall quality, members would vote for the usergroup most deserving of winning for that month. Or perhaps have threads in each corresponding section of the forum for entries, and it would be up to the groups to decide the best piece to "represent" them in the contest for the month?

I thought it would be a good way of having a universal display of MLK talent, rather than focusing on a specific group each month.

If not, another idea was that the nominations could be replaced with an entry and voting system for the current member awards.... A little change could do a long way, so they say.
And finally I wanted to suggest a "Member of the month" award.

Anyway that is that, just some suggestions, so let me know what ya think both staff and members alike!

Actually, it's a good idea, becasue people mostly tend to go to their own groups as far as I am aware. This is a god way to expand MLK's "scopes" and maybe even introduce new art.

It's a fine idea, but I don't know how to compare fanfiction with fanart and fan videos. Sort of apples and oranges and bananas, don't you think?

In retrospect, it was a terrible idea.
I do however think the member awards could do with a rework though

KK said he will be revamping them. I don't know when.
