Must the advertised sites be related to TLK/Disney? If not, are people there looking into anything that isn't TLK/Disney?

It doesn't have to TLK nor Disney relate,but it has to be your forum/page. Yes,they are,if it's of their interest

I'm sorry I didn't think of re-checking them before I asked the question. But now with a mod's answer seeming to contradict that bit of the Universal Rules, I'm confused. Am I misunderstanding that rule bit, or have they changed and you guys have forgotten to update the Universal Rules?

I asked this same question once and got the same mixed answer. It seems to me that this particular rule is sort of not followed and the staff is ok with that

Yeah, the rules need updating.

The end result will be something like: The links board is for posting links to your own website. The website may or may not be related to TLK, but the link you post may not be for advertising or selling a product or service.

We're pretty lenient about it all and it's not really a big issue until the link is just an advertisement.
