C'mon, we're better than this

It's fine if this is closed because it really is a rant, but that signature topic is disgusting to me. I mean, please, can't we think about what we're saying before we say it? Do people have any idea how much bleeping time Moka has put into this forum so that US, the MEMBERS, can enjoy this awesome community and meet all these people? Any idea of the hours spent in the ACP making this place beautiful and functional and the best TLK forum on the internet? A lot of hours. Having run forums before, I understand the monumental amount of work it takes to keep one this size and quality running. And do we thank him? No. He makes a COMPLETELY SENSIBLE rule change (I can't emphasize enough that this is still liberal compared to many large forums assuming they allow sigs at all) and we all start not only arguing against it but personally attacking him.

And I wouldn't care if people were civil. But no, people literally go after him in an openly hostile way. First of all, that's not way to get anything done, and all the credit in the world goes to Moka for not blowing his stack while people attack him like children having tantrums. Secondly, what the hell? It's the holiday season for God's sake. Moka's trying to make the forum work better and some of us are literally screaming at him because (and I'm quoting Moka here) we can't shrink down our wallpaper sized sigs to a reasonable size. Again, this is a rant, but really, I'm completely disgusted with how some people acted. Who cares even if Moka did screw up (which I don't believe he did). Everyone's human, and we all know he's doing his best to make it better. Last time I checked admins didn't get paychecks. He's doing it for us, the members. Could we be more thankless to a person that is selflessly doing so much so that we can enjoy this forum? Even at this busy time of the year? Moka's done a hell of a lot for us, and this is the best Christmas present we can give him?

Thank you Moka, for creating this great forum where I've met a lot of great people. If you hadn't taken your free time to make this place and keep it alive, I wouldn't have met some great friends. So thank you, and all of the MLK staff. You're one of the best staffs I've seen and by far the most under-appreciated.

If I've offended anyone, I'm sorry, and if this becomes a fight close it. I just want to remind people not to take things for granted around here.

Here here, well said Az. The amount of work needed for a site this size is incredible. In big business, you would have a team of guys working shifts to keep the site running and working, responding to questions etc, these guys might work shifts, and they'll work 7 days a week 365 days a year. They would also get paid an absolute fortune for there work.

Please, it's Christmas, can we all not put our differences aside and help with the peace on earth. Look around you now, look around and think how fortunate you are to have everything you have, be it a £10 computer or an £18 000 mac, it doesn't matter.

Everyone is lucky for everything they have, we are all increasingly lucky to have one of the best staff teams I've seen on the net, from those that are, and aren't, paid. Congratulations to you all past and present.

Congratulations to you as members who make this site what it is. A fantastic TLK site, without you this place is nothing.

And finally, thank you to Moka. Without you, very few of is would have met. I know I've met some fantastic people, and both good and bad experiences will live with me for ever. Without you Moka, the best TLK site out there wouldn't exist, whatever anyone says, by god as my witness, you are the best admin I've ever seen.

Please, give Moka a break, he deserves it, more than most.

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to everyone!

Merry Christmas to all,
And to all,
A good Night!

Thank you Azdgari and Naki for you kind words we appreciate it, and thanks for understanding

Being a mod on MLK isn't as easy as it seems. I've seen the best and worst in the 2 years I have been on this site. I am proud of its members and of all the achievements we accomplish. we are not just one of the best Lion King Forums but one of the best communities as a whole. Lets not ruin it over petty arguments. As I said, I am proud of this place and of its members that's why I have stuck at it s long and will continue to stay

But of course this would no be possible if Moka and the rest of my fellow staff members hadn't bashed our heads together for over 2 years. I'll admit there's been times I wanted to throw in the towel and leave, but you guys kept me here. Don't ruin this for me, don't ruin it for Moka, but most importantly. Don't ruin it for yourselves

Merry Christmas to everyone

Well, that is your opinion, and I respect that. I think while it might take a lot of work to run a forum, you don't have to be a total douche while running it. Just sayin'.

I didn't really see this going on until now since I don't check the forum that much anymore, but Az is completely right.

That's all, I don't really want to make a long post.

I'm sorry you feel that way. If you don't appreciate what Moka's done, you should leave instead of insult him when he makes a small change that's his to make (maybe you can have a say when you've done 1/1000th of what he has done for the site, and the way you've acted, WS, you've got a long way to go).
I don't want to fight. Just please don't call him a douchebag in a topic made to thank him.

I completely approve of the signature limit rule, not only cause I hate to scroll through topics where sigs are larger than the actual posts, but also to see the drama that ensues cause of it.

Oh, and if everyone who disagreed with that rule were to of left, would it really matter if he made a rule or not? Because at that time there were only like 1 or two people agreeing with it, out of the like 20 people opposing it. Really, as I said before, while the admin might be important, and keep the forum alive, the members are equally important, and there would be not forum without them eigther. Honestly, you can't judge unbiasedly, because you were not there when it happened. =/

You know, i was thinking about doing this but i wasn't sure if the members were mature enough to understand just how much the staff puts into this site, i'm glad to see i was wrong! (for the most part)

WS please calm down and leave the matter be. if you notice people who have posted on it have voiced an 'upset' however alot of people have not posted. Why? to either avoid drama or they don't mind the change
