(Suggestion) Rules

Here's my take, for what (if anything) it's worth: first of all, as said, a disclaimer of some sort before a fanfic with questionable content is fine. Some of the staff, like myself, reads most (if not all) fanfics here, so we shouldn't have a problem with one sneaking through. They should most certainly be allowed though; I hope at the very least we're not disputing that.

As for universal rules, I think the best way to go about that is for the staff to sit down and scrutinize the rules we currently have. Make additions, subtractions, make things clearer, what have you. Universal rules should stay in my opinion; I don't really want to have to go through and make different rules for different forums since that could get confusing. I think if the staff goes through the current rules and makes everything as crystalline as possible, though, that should alleviate some issues and/or stress on the current rules.

Would that be fair enough? D:

I think that opinion would be absolutely fair.

YFWE the fanfic section is common sense i havnt seen one out of place and the rules dont need checked causue that list is the the checked one

as for warnings,the staff never give warning straight out unless it is a major offence and deserves it. and how do expect us to enforce te rules when they are not being broken?

It's on the profile Az, but it's not used very much because a PMed warning so often suffices =)

And WS, not allowing illegal stuff on the forums goes very firmly in the camp of the common sense on what's appropriate or not on the site =) If there's a specific issue that the mods have overlooked or missed, that also <needs> to be brought to their attention that's what the report feature is for, and it works very well.

But the thread I was reffering to was seen by staff members... and they were obviously confused as to whether or not it should be allowed there. I would of thought it were common sense too, but apparantly it wasn't. And I don't see any problem with relooking the rules, and adding/clarifying a few things. There's always room for revision.

So we're just going to assume that every single one of the rules is perfect and needs no change? It wouldn't hurt to take a look at them. Wouldn't hurt at all.

i understand where you coming from mate but i was there when those rules were revised. it was made and checked by every single member of staff who had to give their approval and it was

And fortunately with a little member input that confusion no longer exists =) Which is what I was referring to with the report feature and such.
