A Very TLK Day

The last few days in school have been a lot about TLK lately. :)
1. In our middle school we have this weekly Friday Funny Video thing where people submit cool vids to be shown in classrooms during homeroom. Well today, someone made a Lion King parody! :O When I heard the COL music, I actually jumped lol because I was so shocked. xD Some of my cubby friends noticed this but I just lied and told them the loud music had scared me. The video was awesome though. :P The Be Prepared part was so epic. <3
2. Then in civics class the teacher showed us a thing on Youtube... again a video related to The Lion King! This time I was able to control myself more since I was in the back row but my face was still kind of pale lol. I was terrified someone might find out...
3. And if that's not enough, yesterday on my bus a rowdy bunch of eighth graders started singing In the Jungle and pretending they were drunk... o.0
4. And then... last week we played a game called Telephone in English class and guess what? The sentence was "The Lion King is the best!" ^^

lol I honestly don't know what to make of all this. I can't decide whether to be thrilled or terrified. What if they know? O.O I know I'm being really paranoid right now but all these TLK references are making me uneasy... :ehh2: Comments?

OMG you're so lucky! Nobody in my school knows about TLK at all. Expect from maybe one of my friends who loves Disney movies, but I never asked him. YOU'RE SO LUCKY! :(

That sounds so fun! I wish we did that kind of stuff when I was in school.
Why are you so terrified that your classmates will learn that you like TLK, though? Some of them must like it too, or else they wouldn’t have made those videos. There’s nothing wrong or emberassing about being obsessed with TLK. ;)

Yeah but I have a bit of a reputation to live up to. =\ If people find out I am obsessed with a Disney movie, they're going to tease me mercilessly about it. So I have to keep it a secret...
I'm lucky most of my classmates are funneh and immature in that way lol.. they still love things they did when they were younger including TLK so I don't feel so left out. ^^

It's sounds great Amanda. You shouldn't feel embarrassed over it, as you've found out there are many many people who like TLK. Forget about reputation, there are alot of ''cool'' kids who love TLK and other disney movies. Perhaps you could do a poll and find out?;)

However, that is awesome that your school did that. How I wished that mine did that. Alas, they did not.:'(

...unless of course I bought TLK basis in. Did it once in drama class, turned out that most of the class were major fans. So we had a great discussion..even though we were supposed to be doing drama.:P

SUCCESS!:D

Back to my point though, those who tease you mercilessly over a disney movie, tend to like the movie themselves. So basically they are hypocrites.;)

Sounds like the past few days for you were awesome, Panda. :)

If I was in your position, I wouldn't feel too embarrassed about liking TLK and besides, everyone likes something and if they can't accept that, then they're just simple minded lol. ^^ I wish I was fortunate enough to experience some of these things in school. Hopefully you will experience more in the future my lioness friend. ^^

Lucky Amanda! :D I jump if anything TLK-related pops up, especially in school. Like once in an RE lesson my teacher said, "We're going to be watching a film for the next few lessons." And when I saw the sun rising up on the TV, and Circle of Life starting up, I was just like... OMFG. Plus if anyone spoke during the film I told them to shut up
As well as when my PE teacher told us to be prepared xD my mind was blown!
I know what you mean by the way. What's so bad about being a LK fan? I was talking about it to a year 7 a few weeks ago and they were like, "That's so babyish!" I only have two friends in school who like it, lol.

sounds like you had a great time to me. I wouldn't worry about anyone making fun of you, most teenage girls are still into CareBears (the old version at least), and that's geared towards only little kids. and TLK is a family film, so it's not as "babyish". Winnie the Pooh is also another Disney kids cartoon that's popular among teenage girls, and Tinkerbell too. now teenage/young adult guys are generally too macho to be into things  at least not openly lol.

now a 7-year-old calling it babyish is just someone trying to be all cool and mature. that or their parents have let them watch too many violent movies so that's all they're into and so find cartoons for kids. *shakes head* kids these days.
