super mario bros 35 is the best game this year so far.
Posted: October 9th, 2020, 11:23 pmok so i havent played a super large amount of big new games this year like final fantasy 7 remake or doom eternal or the last of us 2 and there's still plenty coming like cyberpunk 2077 so this is hyperbole. and the new crash bandicoot does look cool.
BUT
this game is just too amazing
take a 35 year old game, make it a 35 player multiplayer battle royale game a la tetris 99 and not fortnite and add in all these crazy elements and you prove that super mario bros 1 will forever be super.
Super Mario Bros NES will still be great on its 70th anniversary while most other games will be a footnote in gaming history.
