The head creator of Avatar: The Last Airbender (Aaron Ehasz) released a season of a new animated series on Netflix called The Dragon Prince. Starting to watch it now, but curious if anyone else has checked it out. Aaron Ehasz's pedigree is pretty much impeccable, so I gotta say I'm excited to see what it's like.

I haven't heard of it until now!

Knowing that I'm a huge Avatar: The Last Airbender fan, I'll be sure to check this out.

Curious as to what people who’ve seen this show have to say about it. I’ve seen a few clips on YouTube and so far it seems like it has great writing and characters, but I just can’t get past the awkward animation.

You'd be surprised, your brain actually gets used to the choppy animation pretty quickly if you stick it out. Still a bizarre design choice, though.

I thought it was perfectly okay. Some fun characters with good voice actors... certainly has the charm factor. Just feels a little watered down in terms of the world-building at times, and the tone seems a bit younger than TLA to me (which, to be fair, TLA is an extremely serious kids show). But it's short, so I'd definitely recommend folks run through it at some point. It's worth watching.
