I don't know if there's anyone interested in Pokémon here, but, according to Serebii.net, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon have been announced, with a release set for Holiday 2016.

Judging by what is said and shown in the video, there will be a whole new Gen (Gen 7), although that is not confirmed yet. From what I've noticed, people are debating whether the Pokémon WIP seen in the video is a Fletchling or a brand new Pokémon.

Anyway, any thoughts on these great news?

I'm VERY excited about this. It is believed to be the next Gen .

I'm equally as excited. I can't wait to see the Starter Pokémon!

I still need to finish X & Y.

Since we got a proper lion pokemon last gen I want a proper tiger pokemon this gen.

Oh and a boost to the stats of pyroar so it's more viable in battle.

Personally, I'm looking forward to new Mega Evolutions. I wish the Johto starters would finally get one.

^ I can confirm that all starters will get a Mega evolution eventually .

Welp, I know how I'll be spending the holiday season.

I don't play much Pokémon, because I got bored with Platinum & Soul Silver (I restarted them wayy to many times). Shame I don't own those new Nintendo 3DS

Kinda excited to see the new legendary pokémon (even though there are wayyy too many now meh) and the new starters, Fennekin's evos were disappointing in my opinion.

I'm still trying to get the point of giving mewtwo two mega evos tho

^Well, Charizard also has two Mega evolutions, so Mewtwo isn't alone in that.

Personally, I never give that much attention to the legendary Pokémon, since I always end up capturing them. One of the starter Pokémon, however, has to stick with me throughout the whole journey, so I'm more attentive to those.
