My Lion King Forum

I'm sure nearly all of us are going to vote for The Lion King, but still if it's not your favourite 90's Disney Movie then vote for your favourite.

In order from my favourite to least favourite, it is:

1 The Lion King
2 Mulan
3 Aladdin
4 Beauty and The Beast
5 Hercules
6 Pocahontas
7 Tarzan
8 The Hunchback Of Notre Dame

The Hunchback Of Notre Dame is my least favourite because I didn't like Quasi being pelted with fruit at the festival and I hate Frollo and wish Scar could fight him and kill him.

You forgot to include The Rescuers Down Under!

Then the ordering gets a little fuzzy...

3) Hercules
4) Beauty and the Beast
5) The Hunchback of Notre Dame

(Quite a bit of a gap between 7 and 8)

9) Pocahontas (or vice versa)

I'd certainly vote The Rescuers Down Under and Pocahontas as the least good. After Beauty, Aladdin and TLK I don't quite know what happened with Pocahontas. Far less well-rounded, dull, not so appealing character design, etc.

Hercules seems to be so underrated. I think the script's great; it's a fun film.

The Disney renaissance is definitely my favorite era of the Disney animated canon: I think their best movies came out of it.

Seeing as this is 90's Disney movies, and The Little Mermaid came out in 1989, I'll leave it out.

I love the Disney Renaissance, although it think it really ended with The Lion King since the films after Pocahontas don't quite measure up to the "Fab Four" despite how much I love them.

Hmm, asking people about their favorite 90s Disney movie on a Lion King fan forum. Something makes me suspicious of bias.

I have to say that as of about a week ago, I am quite the fan of Balto now. (Never was before though, unlike The Lion King).

Take the words "90s" and "Disney" out of the question "Favourite 90s Disney movie?", and the answer doesn't change. TLK forever.

I'm thinking it might have been fairer to exclude TLK from this poll, with the assumption practically everyone would choose it!
