Would a song by The Carpenters fit in The Lion King franchise? Just wondering if so.

Perhaps the better question, how many people here have any idea who The Carpenters are at all?

LOL, no, I do, but I'm on the older side. I mean how many of the general population besides someone my age and above would have any idea who they are?

Except for the fact that it looked like The Carpenters had all but disbanded by the time even early production came about (years active 1969–83), not to mention Karen's death in 83, The Lion King could only have hoped to have a Carpenter at best.

They had used The Carpenters songs in many recent films, Dark Shadows and Shrek 4 Ever After. Here's a video, where a song by The Carpenters could fit: http://youtu.be/PUIN8gyRrsk
