If you're an Australian TLK fan, and you have Foxtel and watch old shows, then you should know about this GREAT show, I love it, I've loved it since 2011, Prisoner: Cell Block H, or simply Prisoner, ran from 1979-1986 with a total of 692 episodes, the series takes place in Wentworth Detention Center, a women's prison, the most notable characters are Bea Smith, Lizzie Birdsworth, Doreen Anderson/Burns, Myra Desmond, Meg Jackson/Morris, Joan "The Freak" Ferguson and Rita Connors.

One day I plan to get some of the early episodes on DVD as it looks like an interesting series. I used to watch lots of the old Aussie soaps as a kid, but I was a bit too young to watch Prisoner. Did you know that the "Cell Block H" was added for the UK to avoid confusion with another drama called "The Prisoner"?

Also it was filmed at what is now the Neighbours studios. The building used for the outside of the prison still exists and can been seen in the background of this pic of the Turners' back garden.
