Ok so for those of you Harry Potter fans out there, the sixth HP movie was release yesterday in theaters. So what did you guys think of the movie, did you like; dislike it? Did you think that it stuck to the book?

Personally, when I saw it there wasn't much action in it, and i felt like it left out a lot of information. I felt like it was a real let down :( and for the people that never read the book, were probably confused.

I think The Half-Blood Prince is my favorite one of the books, because not much happens and there may not be much action, but it shows a lot of history and why everything happened the way it did.

I'm hoping to see the movie soon and come back with my opinion :)

Okay, so I watched the movie yesterday and I didn't like it.
They took so much out from the book, there were supposed to be way more Dumbledore memories about Voldemort, including his parents' lives. They focused too much in Hermione's suffering for Ron and they didn't even pay attention to the whole Half-Blood Prince stuff.
:pout:

I wish there was a bit more memories, I agree. But it had some terrific moments as well.
SPOILERS

I loved the quidditch game lol, when Ron could do anything. I felt like yelling "Weasly! Weasly!" from the audiance lol. And when Dumbledor got up and started conjuring fire all over the place I was like "Hellz yes!!! DUMBLEDORE!!!! I was so in awe of his epic-ness.

SPOILER! DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE NOR READ THE BOOK OR IF YOU JUST DON'T WANNA FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS IN THE MOVIE!

Yeah, and I liked the scene when Hermione is crying and making up all those birds to later make them attack Ron, but still. And they didn't even show what I was waiting for since I read the book, which was the battle in Hogwarts at the end :x

Exactly, where was the battle at the end of the movie. No where, the memories were short. they spent more time on malfoy going to the cabinet than anything. ANd whats up with the half-blood prince thing, they didnt even explain that. All i saw was the name in the book, harry hurt malfoy, they hid the book, and then snape said he was the half blood prince.
For that to be the title of the movie and book they completely failed at explaining it. i thought to myself if i was someone who had never read the book it would have confused the heck out of me.
Another note, they didnt explain Voldermorts hatred or anything, this book was to explain how he became so evil.

Exactly, they didn't show the most important thing about the book: Voldemort's past.
The movie just failed :disgust:

I read somewhere that they were gonna make two movies out of the seventh book because they wanna include everything. But if you ask me, the seventh book wasn't very great. The Half-Blood Prince is my favorite one and they messed it up :(

first half of the seventh book was frankly boring, but the second half was quite good =)
