I know there's a lot of youngsters here so this may not apply to you.

Does anyone remember a primetime show that aired on NBC years ago called 'Father of the Pride'. It's basically about a family of lions and their friends at the Siegfried and Roy exhibit in Las Vegas. This is from Dreamworks, the same company that made 'Shrek'. It originally aired in 2004. I used to watch this constantly when I got home from college on Tuesday nights. If you are a Lion King fan you might like this. It may be a 'cartoon' but I wouldn't call it kid friendly. It's kind of like The Simpsons or Family Guy. It's NOT as as nasty or dirty like Family Guy (or South Park) but the jokes are witty and often fly over the kids heads. At one point Donkey from Shrek guest starred. In fact, it was often promoted was 'from the producers of Shrek!' Jeffrey Katzenberg was responsible for production.

The father lion Larry is voiced by John Goodman (Fred Flintstone from the Flintstones, Argo, Monsters Inc).

Here is the intro to give you a taste.

I remember that show! I only got to watch a few episodes, but it seems like it was good. I'll have to see if I can watch the rest sometime.

If you are a furry, you will LOVE this!

I remember hearing about this in a computer graphics magazine a long time ago (though I never actually watched any episodes), and actually just recently saw it mentioned in an online video series about the history of Dreamworks. It makes me wonder how many people think of Father of the Pride as well as the Madagascar movies when they hear the words "lions" and "Dreamworks".

I remember it, but I wasn't that much of a fan when it was on TV :\ I might watch it again on youtube at some point however to see if my opinion has changed ;)

I remember this. I believe it was the result of bad timing (I think it came out not long after Roy Horn got attacked by one of the tigers.)

I used to watch it with my dad when it was still on TV. I recall it being rather funny, but I was a decent bit younger at the time, so I'm not sure I'd still like it today.
