One of the rockets fired from Gaza landed 20km from Jerusalem and a lot have been fired at Tel-aviv and other highly populated cities in Israel. Israel has also fired back, but not at all as many rockets have been fired from Israel to Gaza compared to Gaza to Israel. Around 120 rockets and shells have been fired from Gaza to Israel. I have a feeling this could get even more serious, unfortunately. There's a lot of tension between Isreal and Palestinian militants.

Israel relies more on its airforce than on rockets, which is why there are less rockets coming out as in. But until the rocket attacks stop, Israel won't stop fighting back.

^More like Israel fighting over its supposed right to exist. But, another time, Woeler, another time.

Well, it looks like Israel is taking their conflict into their hands. Just recently, they assassinated the Hamas military chief, Ahmed Said Khalil al-Jabari, in an airstrike.

In some ways, yes. The land did originally belong to the Israelites around 2 BCE until the Roman Empire invaded the region.

The United States was originally from the native Americans. By that view we should give them their land back as well. But they don't fight over it. Germany doesn't fight over Austria which was once theirs. The Netherlands does not fight over Britain which would have been theirs is William III had had a son.

I knew you would throw that argument about the United States at me. I just knew you would call me out on that, which is why I posted first, "in some ways..."

But the U.S. government allows native Americans the right to have Indian reservations.

Yeah. I read these World Issues all the time to the point "sometimes" I know how you make your argument, and back it up with facts. I simply established the argument, and you responded just how I believed you would respond.

Woeler wrote:Anyway, in the end it's still a fight between two nations over ridiculous reasons. In the end both will find out that they are no more than the men they fought against: Dead and forgotten. Dead because of an imaginary border that never should have been there in the first place.

You're an antitheist, and I'm a Protestant. You think that way, and I do too, but we split when I state all the Middle East conflicts will lead up to Armageddon.

Armageddon...

Oxford Dictionary wrote:
*(in the New Testament) the last battle between good and evil before the Day of Judgement.

*the place where the Armageddon will be fought.

*a dramatic and catastrophic conflict, especially one seen as likely to destroy the world or the human race: nuclear Armageddon

Armageddon (or some kind of direct military conflict), in the Judeo-Christian perspective, will destroy the human race as we know it as you so boldly state. I believe the same thing, but here's the twist: Israel prevails!

Woeler1 wrote:Well that is not exactly what I state. I state that if the world does come to an end here or wherever, or if it limps into the future, decimated by the effects of a religion-inspired nuclear terrorism (because yes, this is terrorism!) let's remember what the real problem was: That we learned how to precipitate mass death before we got past the neurological disorder of wishing for it.

Okay. I can see what you mean.

Woeler1 wrote:And you say a battle between good and evil? Israel is good? They're just as bad as the arabs. In fact, they're even worse. Forcing thousands and thousands of families from their homes and villages. Women, children. Locking up hundreds of people who are not willing to cooperate. And this is all performed in the name of a state that has no right to exist.

No. That's just one definition of Armageddon. I'm postive it is much more complicated than that, and I will clarify once I do more research. Once again, Israeli Jews has a right to exist in the homeland of their ancestors, and defend itself from the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and Iran.

Woeler1 wrote:The irony of this whole thing is that because of its power to divert man to destructive courses, the world actually could come to an end.

Agreed.
