Do you guys believe the US was behind the terrorist attack on September 11th? I've been reading a lot of stuff on conspiracies lately and am still undecided. I wanted to get your opinions on it.

Why not go with the compromise theory?

One tower was taken out by actual terrorists, the other was wired by the government with explosives.

As for my answer, I don't believe the U.S. government was behind the September 11 attacks. New reports were released a month ago that the Bush administration was warned repeatedly about al-Qaeda's terrorist attempts, and didn't take heed to prevent them.

Finally, Osama bin Laden accepted responsibilty for the 9/11 attacks almost eight years ago:

The October 29, 2004 edition of The New York Times wrote:He [bin Laden] accused Mr. Bush of "misleading" the American people three years after the Sept. 11 attacks, the Al Jazeera Web site said, and added that "we decided to destroy towers in America" because "we want to regain the freedom of our nation."

The Associated Press said Mr. bin Laden also went on to say in the videotape: "God knows that it had not occurred to our mind to attack the towers, but after our patience ran out and we saw the injustice and inflexibility of the American-Israeli alliance toward our people in Palestine and Lebanon, this came to my mind."

I seriously doubt it was an inside job. However, Bush maybe might have seen a terrorist comming and did nothing to prevent it just so he can have an excuse to start a war. But no, the U.S government wasn't behind it. Even Al Qaida themselves admitted that they were responsible for the 9/11 incident.

The US Government didn't plan any of this. To be honest the thought of this is just ridiculous.
