Apparently last night, the company Treyarch has now release a trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty game, which, no very creative in title, will be "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" and as for what I had found, the game will set one part in the 80's and the other part will be in set in the year 2025, that's what I had seen so far, well, I guess we have to wait for more info about it

While I appreciate Treyarch trying to do something original, I don't think this game will be that good. I think it is destined for the same thing that Battlefield 2142 is: popular when it will come out, but as soon as the next CoD game will come out, everyone will leave it.

The biggest issue I have with the trailer is that it doesn't know what year it's trying to be in. It claims that the year is 2025, but that is only some 13 years away. In military years, that is hardly anything. So the question that always pooped into my head is: where did all that stuff come from?

In 2025, we will see the combat use of the F-22, the F-35, stealth UAVs such as the X-47, stuff that is just too advanced for today or in production, but we won't see any of the crazy sci-fi robots and hover jets that the trailer showed.

So while I think that BO 2 will be better than most recent Call of Duty games from the past few years, I think I will give it a pass.

I hope you are missing it because it doesn't interest you and not just because the weapons are inaccurate to the time frame lol.
But yeah. COD has been getting progressively worse since WAW, and there are a ton of other games out this fall. COD needs a complete overhaul from the ground up and new game engine.

duuuuuuuuude will CoD ever stop selling the same game with different maps over and over again? Same engine, and it's basically the same game as the previous versions only with some different maps and weapons. Seriously why do we keep buying this?

Battlefield 3 is better than all CoD games combined

Because half of this game's market is whiny 12 year olds whose parents have more cash than brains.

I like how the article mentioned that those under 40 are content with playing the entire range of games. Read it after playing Myst Online: Uru Live. It's a E10+- game. Yup! Article is correct.

But I have to agree with the fact that the younger audience are ruining the series. I always say compare the trailers.

Call of Duty 1 and 2: Long, epic sweeps with the camera, great music.
Later CoD games: Short bursts where you can barely tell what's going on. 50% of the trailer is a black screen that transitions from one scene to the next.

And seeing as this IS a Call of Duty game, I have to wonder why they even include a single player campaign any more. No one plays Call of Duty for the single-player anymore, and those who play single player games don't play CoD anymore.

At least Battlefield 3 knew that and made a very bad campaign. At least it was honest about it. (Not that I like BF3 any better)

Neh I say neh! Treyarch have done well more often than IW since it turned into a yearly update. If they take it back to roots where everyone had the same three killstreaks or even none at all, then I will give it a go but that's unlikely. Srsly it sucked ever since killstreaks became the focus in mp
