According to this logic, even Star Wars was a rip-off. Citizen Kane etc and lots of movies made way before Star Wars followed the same pattern. See http://www.clickok.co.uk/index4.html for a decent analysis of the hero's journey in film and lots of examples. There's more to it than meets the eye.

Posted: November 10th, 2010, 4:22 amHaha, this is cool to see because we just finished learning about Heros Journey in Film Studies. Turns out a LOT of movies are used by following Heros Journey though things always differe a little bit though I must admit Star Wars and Harry Potter sure are similer
