The Earth was hit "Right on the nose" with a massive solar storm early today. I personally have been having communication and computer issues due to this solar storm and so have many of my friends. Have any of you been affected? From what I've read, this storm could last all the way through tomorrow, maybe even Saturday, but probably not. Don't quote me on any of this, I'm not 100% sure. Thoughts? Comments?

Really? I didn't notice a thing. But it could simply be because of where I live - west coast USA.
So my experience was business as usual.

It's mostly effecting the northern hemisphere of the Earth, forgot to mention that, so I'm a little surprised you haven't noticed anything. All it's been causing is some airline trouble, slow internet, failing GPS, stuff like that. Nothing to major but one of the biggest.

Yeah, I was kind of expecting more from this. My internet hiccupped once at work (which happens pretty regularly anyway, haha,) and slowed down the odd time or two last night (again, which is nothing new XD) , but my cell service has been fine, radio's working great.....I guess I'll see as the day goes on if today has more quirks.

Haven't noticed anything where I'm at, but I'm getting pissed off because apparently if the sky was clearer we might be able to see some Northern Lights tonight. It's been cloudy all day though I really hope it clears up, I've never seen the Northern Lights ever! Would be so cool.

I did notice the internet was being slow and sometimes not responding yesterday, but I never would have guessed this being the cause.

Yesterday, at my school, the computers were going a little glitchy when we were trying to type essays. But I didn't know this could be the cause.
