No, this is not politics. No, this is not spam. No, this is not scam.
There are several others who have shared this with more detail, but mine will be short and simple leaving the video to do the talking.
KONY 2012
http://vimeo.com/37119711I can't stress how important this is. If you haven't heard about Joseph Kony and the horrible things he's done yet, please take the time to click on that link and learn about him. Everyone can make a difference. Everyone has a voice. This needs to get out to as many people as possible. Pass it on!

Good Lord, a Joseph Kony thread. Ermmm yeah, I mean its whatever really. There are a number of things that do not quite add up properly with this campaign, and to be quite honest I do not support it 100%, at least not yet any way.
Still its nice to see that it is that easy to convince the world to start yet another proxy war that they know NOTHING about.

They say in the beginning, the KONY 2012 is also an experiment seeing if they can convince the youth to protest. It works; take SOPA/PIPA for example. I support it, but not the spam-campaign.

I don't see how people are saying this is not real. What is happening in Africa is very much real. I support trying to capture this guy and putting him away. Once he's captured, the others can be apprehended as well.

Thank you, Emily, for posting this! I just saw the video and was about to hop by and post it, but I guess you beat me to it. Together, we can do this!

Feel free to quote me on saying it wasn't real, cause I know very well it is. When I say I dont approve, I mean I don't approve of IC and their narrow minded approach to this. This whole thig reeks of hypocrisy.

The sad part is that protesting can work against SOPA/PIPA seeing as they are governmental acts that can be stopped with enough support.
But protesting won't do much if at all against Kony because he is leading an armed army. They couldn't care less what a bunch of people half way around the globe are thinking. The only way to stop Kony is to capture him, not protest against him.
Sometimes, no matter how good you want to be, you need to fight fire with fire.

Yep that is what I do not really like about it, they want the USA army to intervene, his troops will be forced to fight and defend him and the US army will end up shooting hundreds of the children that this so called act of justice is trying to protect.

Those kids are already being killed, though. The whole point is to put a stop to it. Of course people are going to get hurt/killed in the process. But it'd be worth it so that they could be safe in the future.
